Before Prysmian gains a new contract, combined with the leading international infrastructure group Bao Betty Buddha, implement method by Eurotunnel between a new HVDC interconnection line.
The project is one of the common interests of the European Union, awarded by the wholly owned subsidiary of the European tunnelling company ElecLink contract. The construction of a 1000 megawatt bidirectional transmission line between Britain and France by constructing a cross link between the British and British submarine tunnels. The total value of the project is about 219 million euros. ElecLink high voltage DC cable interconnection lines will increase the energy exchange between Britain and France, to help integrate the energy market, energy diversification. ElecLink interconnect lines will provide cost-effective new transmission capacity and minimize environmental impact. Minimum environmental impact and no overhead lines and submarine cables, the project achieved 6 million 100 thousand tons of carbon emissions.
The project consists of a + 320 thousand v high voltage underground cable system. A 51 km high voltage DC symmetrical unipolar loop will be deployed in the subsea tunnel.
The first-class super high voltage, AC and DC cable factory all cables will be located in France by gllon Prysmian manufacturing.
